    What Works in Schools Report Released

    The PTI held a seminar in December 2009, to which they invited a group of successful secondary state school heads to explain what made their schools work so well and how their successes could be replicated. A report of the conclusions of the day is being published today.

    Mossbourne Academy Head to be Trustee of The Prince’s Teaching Institute

    Sir Michael Wilshaw, Principal of Mossbourne Community Academy in Hackney, North London, will become a Trustee of The Prince’s Teaching Institute (PTI) with immediate effect.

    The Tempest

    A day combining lectures, seminars and a RSC drama workshop on The Tempest. The day will be led by Lizzie Skyner, Head of English at Upton Hall School, Wirral who will be joined by Dr Nandini Das, Lecturer in Renaissance Literature at the University of Liverpool, and Virginia Grainger from the RSC Education team.

    Criticism and Connections - Teaching the new English Literature A2 Level syllabi

    Kate Graham, Head of English at Gumley House Convent School, London, leads a day devoted to exploring ways to challenge and engage A level students. The day is designed to prepare teachers for the challenges of teaching the new A2 Literature syllabi and to re-invigorate their interest in English Literature.
