The Prince's Teaching Institute today announced its programme of events for secondary school teachers for the autumn term 2008. For full details please click here.
For the first time the PTI will be running a residential course for English and History teachers during the autumn term. This will be held at Crewe Hall in Cheshire from the 7th - 10th November. Several extremely high-profile speakers will be appearing at the event including Phillip Pullman CBE, author of His Dark Materials/The Golden Compass, Robert Harris, author of The Ghost and Pompeii and Professor Lisa Jardine from the University of London.
The PTI is also organising 4 one-day Continuous Professional Development events for secondary teachers during the autumn. These CPD days introduce teachers to the latest academic thinking on a particular area of the national curriculum, and give them the opportunity to discuss with their peers how best to translate what they have learnt back to the classroom.
