Privacy policy

The Prince’s Teaching Insitute (PTI) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes the ways in which we collect information from you when you use this website (“Site”) and what we may use it for. It should be read in conjunction with the terms and conditions and the statements about liability and copyright.

• What data does the PTI collect from users of the Site?

The PTI collects data from you ("User Data") at points in the Site when you register an interest in receiving information or otherwise use the services and facilities made available through the Site (“Service”).

• What use does the PTI make of User Data?

The PTI will use User Data that it collects from you only in accordance with the following guidelines:

i. To provide the Site and the Service for you

The PTI will use User Data to provide the Site and the Service, to notify you of any changes in them or in the terms and conditions of use of the Site and/or the Service. Where the PTI appoints sub-contractors to assist it in the delivery of the Site/Service, the PTI may make the User Data available to its sub-contractors to the extent that it is reasonably necessary to enable such sub-contractors to deliver the Site and/or Service.

ii. To send you information about other products & services provided by the PTI

From time to time, the PTI, its partner organisations or third parties acting on its behalf, may wish to send you information about other services and products which it offers, and in which it believes that you may be interested, and it may use User Data for this purpose. In registering for any part of the Site you consent to the use of your User Data for this purpose. If you decide now, or at any time in the future, that you do not wish to receive this information, please inform us at info@princes-ti.org.uk

iii. To allow Members to receive information from other academic institutions or other affiliated organisations

• The PTI may also pass your information to academic institutions or other affiliated organisations linked to the PTI to enable them to provide you with information about products or services which they believe will be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive this information, you can opt out when you register as a member. If you are a Member and decide now, or at any time in the future, that you do not wish to receive this information, please inform us at info@princes-ti.org.uk

• Legal requirements

While it is unlikely, the PTI may be required to disclose your User Data by a court order or to comply with other legal requirements. The PTI will use all reasonable endeavours to notify you before we do so, unless we are legally restricted from doing so.

• No commercial disposal to third parties

The PTI will not sell, rent, distribute or otherwise make User Data commercially available to any third party, except as described above or with your prior permission.

• Assent to terms of privacy policy

By using the Site and/or the Service, you acknowledge that you have read the terms of this privacy policy and that you agree to the PTI using User Data for the purposes set out above. This privacy policy may be amended by the PTI at any time.
