Ellen Willkinson School for Girls - pupils meeting Steve WilliamsBack

The past year has been an extremely fruitful one for our department. We have worked tirelessly to raise the profile of the department within the school, local community and internationally. We have hosted a wide variety of enrichment activities, which included expert guest speakers, ranging from Olympic gold medallists to practising research scientists.

We have been visited by head teachers from South Africa and a Head of Science from Australia, allowing us to showcase outstanding practice in teaching and learning, as well as the use of ICT. We have supported numerous people from within the Borough and trained seven new teachers.
