She has over 25 years experience in teaching and is currently the Head of History at Parkstone Grammar School in Poole and also holds the post of Educational Visits Co-ordinator, having gained a Certificate in Advanced Educational Studies – Offsite Management. A combined love of travel, archaeology and history has led to a specialisation in field work and trips in history and she regularly takes students to visit First World War battlefields and Russia. Parkstone Grammar School was last year described as “outstanding” by Ofsted, with the History department rated as excellent. The History department regularly achieves results well above the school and national average. As well as acting as a teacher leader Elizabeth has also run several one-day CPD events for the Prince’s Training Institute.
